Initial Project consultation

Depending upon the current stage of new construction, or, if you’re looking to add color-changing lighting to your existing building, Electrical/Architectural plans and/or photos with dimensions should be sufficient enough to establish a budget and develop a preliminary proposal.

Any desired effects, color-changing capabilities and off-site remote access should be discussed at this point, as this may affect the recommended hardware.

If additional information is required, an investigatory site visit may help determine the feasibility of the lighting installation. This visit should be scheduled through Apex Lighting Solutions, in conjunction with a member of the Design/Construction Team or a member of Building Facilities and a Licensed Electrician. Once a budget and preliminary proposal is developed, a meeting with the Installing Electrician should be set, to develop an installation plan and review any potential concerns with access to power and/or wiring distance limitations.  When combined with a pre-wiring site visit, this consultation results seamless installations and trouble-free operation.

Pre-wiring site visit for product installation, installation support and start-up

Once an installation plan has been developed and materials are scheduled to arrive on-site, a pre-wiring site visit should be scheduled through Apex Lighting Solutions.  One of our Technicians will meet with the Installing Electrician to address any last minute questions or concerns with the installation. This includes properly documenting fixture locations for commissioning purposes and verification of proper data and power wiring configurations. During the installation, our Technicians can be available to assist with any issues that might arise.

And, once everything is installed, our Technicians will come back to perform the system start-up, per the desired effects discussed during Initial Project Consultation.  Additionally, End-User training will be provided at the time of final commissioning, unless otherwise arranged.

Show-design utilizing Color Kinetics software

Our Technicians are well versed in all Color Kinetics programming software and will configure a customized lighting show that realizes the vision of the End User. If there is no preconceived lighting show for the installation, our experienced Technicians will work closely with the End User to produce a creative show that compliments any interior space or exterior façade. This show-design service is part of the entire Landmark Lighting Design Assist process, offered by Apex Lighting Solutions.
